UltraScence Pico Plus Western Substrate

The UltraScence Pico Plus Western Substrate is a highly sensitive, luminol-based enhanced chemiluminescent substrate designed for superior performance in Western blotting applications. Specifically optimized for use with horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated secondary antibodies, this substrate enables detection of target antigens at extremely low levels, ranging from the low picogram to high femtogram scale.

Thanks to its exceptional sensitivity and prolonged chemiluminescent signal duration, the UltraScence Pico Plus substrate supports both digital imaging systems and traditional film-based detection without signal loss or degradation. This makes it ideal for researchers seeking reliable, reproducible results in protein detection and immunoblot assays.

To achieve optimal signal intensity and longevity, appropriate primary and secondary antibody dilutions are recommended. UltraScence Pico Plus Western Substrate is the preferred choice for high-sensitivity protein detection, biomarker analysis, and advanced immunodetection techniques.

The UltraScence Pico Plus Western Substrate is a luminol-based HRP (Horseradish Peroxidase) substrate designed for highly sensitive and enhanced chemiluminescent detection in Western blot assays. Supplied in a convenient 100ML volume, this substrate provides long-lasting signal duration and excellent detection sensitivity, enabling reliable visualization of low-abundance proteins.

Figure 1. The UltraScence Pico Plus Western Substrate enables highly sensitive detection of proteins ranging from low picogram to high femtogram levels on the same immunoblot with a single exposure. Membranes were probed using GFP-tagged Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody diluted 1:10,000, followed by incubation with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG/HRP secondary antibody at 1:10,000. Serial dilutions of Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (EGFP) were separated by electrophoresis and transferred to membranes. Identical blots were incubated with UltraScence Pico Plus substrate and exposed simultaneously for 5, 10, 30, 60, and 180 seconds using the ChemluxSPX-600 Series digital imaging system to demonstrate signal intensity and duration.

Figure 2. Demonstration of 24-hour signal stability using UltraScence Pico Plus Western Substrate. The luminol and peroxide solutions were mixed at a 1:1 ratio, and 400 µL of the substrate was applied to each blot after storage at 4℃ for 1 hour, 12 hours, and 24 hours. Blots were exposed simultaneously for 5, 10, 30, 60, and 180 seconds using the Chemlux SPX-600 Series digital imaging system. Serial dilutions of Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (EGFP) were electrophoresed, transferred to membranes, blocked, and probed with GFP-tagged Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (1:10,000), followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG/HRP secondary antibody (1:10,000).
